Is the app free?

Yes. The desktop app is free to download, and every new account starts with 5,000 credits — about 80 minutes of speech — renewed every month. You only pay when you need more.

What exactly is a credit?

One credit buys one second of speech recognition. AI rewriting is metered separately at 2 credits per 1,000 tokens. The app shows the cost of every session in your usage ledger.

Can I use my own API keys?

Yes. The model hub lets you point speech recognition and rewriting at your own providers instead of the hosted service, in which case no credits are consumed.

How do I pay?
